Spring Staples

Spring is almost the perfect season - everything is abloom, you can leave your room without your bulky Canada Goose, and, most importantly, the temperature is a lovely 70 degrees. The season's only real shortcoming is simple: it's not fall. Despite this minor inconvenience, it really is a great time to be outside in your favorite warm weather pieces.

My first spring must-have is the perfect sandal. After two seasons of constantly wearing boots, it's time to don something breathable and fun. From the strappy gladiator sandal to Doc Martens' industrial fisherman sandal, you can find the perfect shoe to compliment your look and free your feet. My favorites? A two-strap tan and white pair from Dolce Vita.

My next staple is the statement skirt. Whether it stands out for its fun texture, bold print, or innovative shape, the statement skirt in a spring palette easily dresses up any light summer tee or crop top.

What better to pair with your statement skirt than a white tank? My summer closet is made up of 101 white tanks, just different enough to justify the purchase of all of them. The color is perfect to stay cool in the sun and it can either be simple enough to complement a bold skirt or interesting enough with its texture or cut to add something special to your outfit when you're in your favorite denim shorts

Finally, this season I decided I needed a light spring scent. Even as a fairly unadventurous girl - I discovered LAVANILA's coconut vanilla fragrance in the 7th grade and have been loyal to it since - I switched my everyday scent for this season, opting for something light and floral. The Olsen twins' Elizabeth and James Nirvana White has won me over with its sleek packaging and hints of peony.

Here's to soaking up the last month of the season and its glorious weather in your favorite spring pieces!
